Thursday Thoughts

You learn far more from negative leadership than from positive leadership. Because you learn how not to do it. And, therefore, you learn how to do it.

One of my very favorite classes while I was obtaining my MBA was Theories of Leadership. It became even more valuable when I had the poorest example of a leader that I’d ever experienced. While it was a horrible time, I walked away from that being able to apply even more of what I’d learned to the situation and life, and I learned how never to lead. I’m thankful I went through it, as it fueled my passion for positive and effective leadership even more so.

Thursday Thoughts

If you find someone who makes you smile, who checks up on you often to see if you’re okay, who watches out for you and wants the very best for you, don’t let them go. Keep them close and don’t take them for granted. People like that are hard to find.
